MISSION STATEMENT

 

 

To provide a comprehensive analysis of air traffic management and activity in the Ketchikan, Alaska area. To recognize a higher-than-normal risks and aviation impact on the community. The Tongass Aircraft Pilots Association will use this data and feedback to developed traffic patterns and procedures to enhance aviation safety and mitigate aircraft noise problems in the community.

Our goals here at TAPA are simple. To provide a comprehensive plan to address issues of safety in air traffic management that works to benefit all airlines in the Ketchikan, Alaska area.  To pass on this information to all its members to ensure a safe and knowledgeable experience for all who fly in the Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows & Misty Fjords National Monument area of operations.
